Harold Leon Nolte, 85, of Edgerton, Kansas, sadly left our world on December 6, 2025, after a life filled with laughter, family, and faith.
Harold was born in 1940 to Harold B. Nolte and Lola Dever in Olathe, Kansas. Harold married Carol Joyce Nolte, his loving wife of 64 years, and together they raised four children.
Harold was a dedicated and hardworking man who provided for his family and offered his services to the community. He spent his career working for Johnson County in the Road and Bridge department, part-time for Tandem Trucking, as well as having served many years as a local volunteer firefighter. Through all his work, he always found time to bring a smile to the faces of those who loved him, teaching valuable life lessons while still filling his home with laughter and love.
Waiting for him in Heaven were his wife Carol Joyce Nolte, parents Harold Benny Nolte and Lola Belcher (Dever), siblings Barry Belcher, Karen Scritchfield, Robert “Bob” Dever, and son-in-law Michael Bartlett.
He is survived by his four children, Katrina Michaelis (Nolte) and husband Scott, Timothy Nolte, Jana Kranz (Nolte) and husband Micol, Lisa Bartlett (Nolte); twelve grandchildren; and eleven great-grandchildren. We will miss his quick wit, wisdom, comforting presence, and the twinkle in his eyes accompanied by his smile. However, we find comfort in knowing he has been reunited with the woman he loved.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that contributions be made to the American Lung Association.
