Hana was born to her mother, Mrs. Almaz Tefera, and her father, Colonel Seleshi in Addis Ababa on March 4, 1967. When she was old enough to go to school, she studied at Emperor Fasil School from first to eighth grade, then at Itege Menen School from ninth to twelfth grade. She then came to the United States and worked in a nursing home, then at Express Store, and finally in elderly care until 2014. She expressed the desire to come and live with her sister’s family in Kansas and we were happy to have her home. While we were living together, she had a stroke in 2022, due to her poor health. We took her to Olathe Medical Center in an emergency before being moved to rehabilitation facility. After 5 months, she was hospitalized at various times, but she spent the rest of her life in a Del Mar nursing home, where she finally passed away on April 20, 2025.
Hana was a humble, social, and loving sister who loved her family.
