Ford Allen Moore

Ford Allen Moore, our beloved son, was born on September 22, 2025, the first day of Fall. He passed away peacefully at home in his mother and father’s arms on September 7, 2026 at the tender age of 11 months.

Ford was given a prognosis of 1-2 months left to live at just 2 months of age. While his time on Earth was devastatingly short, he defied every odd, challenge, and timeline given to him. His resolve and determination to live gave us the opportunity to see his personality shine through. He loved snuggling with his Mama, giggling with his Daddy, and early mornings spent with his grandparents. He had the sweetest soul and was a true light in this world. He smiled with his whole face, loved stuffed animals (specifically his giraffe), and could always be found with his pacifier in his mouth.

Ford will forever be loved, cherished, and remembered by his parents, Nicholas Moore and Katelyn Neely, his grandparents Phil and Judy Neely, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was welcomed into heaven by his great great grandmother Elsie Post, great grandparents Jay and Joan Shearhart, great grandparents Burle and Mary Neely, and great grandparents Bob and Betty Moore.

Although his life was far too short, the love he gave us will remain in our hearts forever.

It was the honor of a lifetime to be his parents.

A service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, September 12th at 10am at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church at 12251 Antioch Rd, Overland Park, KS 66213.

If you are able to attend his service, we invite you to leave your black at home and honor Ford’s life by wearing his favorite color blue.
