Florieta Barradas Cabuay

Florieta Barradas Cabuay was born July 19th, 1949 in Manila, Philippines. She passed away surrounded by her loved ones August 16th, 2026 in Olathe, Kansas.

Florieta attended Philippine Women’s University where she earned her Bachelor of Science in Food and Nutrition. Once receiving her degree she worked in various places, but most recently retired from Costco food service department.

In her free time Florieta enjoyed cooking, shopping, watching movies, and watching Filipino tv shows. Her family described her as loving, outgoing, and “Marites Chismosa”.

Florieta is preceded in passing by her parents Bibiano Barradas and Virginia Masongsong; siblings Edward Barradas and Cesar Barradas. She is survived by her loving husband Joven A. Cabuay; her children John Jay Cabuay (Mihoko Takechi), Jeffrey Cabuay (Linda Cabuay), and Jonathan Cabuay (Lorna Cabuay); sibling Gloria B. Dulay; grandchildren Jordan Cabuay, Jaedyn Cabuay, Mayarika Cabuay, Sean Nasiir Cabuay, and Austin Lockwood; nieces and nephews Gilda Dulay Awad, Esther Goddard, JoAnn Dulay, and Mark Dulay; great-grandchild Bryson Cabuay; and her beloved pet Jazzy.
