Eugene "Gene" Gregory

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Eugene "Gene" Gregory, who departed this life peacefully on June 4th, 2025, at the age of 87. Gene was born on October 2nd, 1937, in Ione, WA, to Pete and Anna Gregory.

Gene was a dedicated husband to Bonnie, his loving wife of 26 years, and a devoted father to Kevin(Jonette) and Kelly. He was a loving step father to Vera, Vickie(Chuck), Chris and Mark(Kateri). He was a proud grandfather to many grandchildren; Robert, Ryan, Brendan, Mackenzee, Summer(Kyle), Stephanie (Aaron), Brock (Kelsey), Sandie (Tyrone), Brittney, Marissa, Christopher, Colleen (Bryce), and Jessica. He was also blessed with several great grandchildren; Kade, Summer, Jordan, Remington, Zaiden, Rhya, Bryce, Braylinn, Claire, Emma and EJ.

Gene was a hardworking man who built a career as a machinist, which is where he met the love of his life, Bonnie. Prior to moving to Olathe KS, Gene loved to hunt and fish. He loved woodworking, wood carving, and was a problem solver and creative with whatever his hands touched. He loved his Seattle Seahawks and Mariners, but also grew to love the KC Chiefs and Royals. Gene walked through life with the wisdom of ages and the wonder of a child. He taught us that love is the only treasure worth collecting and his heart was big enough to hold the whole world. His kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family will never be forgotten. We find comfort in knowing that his legacy lives on through the lessons he taught us, the love he shared, and the memories we will cherish forever. He will be missed by his family, extended family and countless friends he made throughout his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Carol, and his 3 brothers Don, Dave and Mike.

A private Celebration of Life will take place on Saturday, September 20th.
