Dorotha Lee Kieffaber

Dorotha Lee Kieffaber, 92 of Olathe, Kansas passed away on June 22, 2025 at Villa St. Francis, Olathe, Kansas.

Dorotha was born May 30, 1933 (the “real” Memorial Day) in Polo, Missouri to Lawrence E. and Susie S. Robison, who preceded her in death, as well as 8 siblings and one grandson. She graduated from Polo High School and then moved to Kansas City where she did Accounting work.

Later in life she moved to Olathe where she was a member of First Baptist Church. During her time there she did volunteer work in the church office. She also cooked for the Wednesday night church members for many years. Dorotha was also instrumental in overseeing the meal preparation for funeral dinners for 10-12 years.

Dorotha also worked alongside the Olathe Police Volunteer Unit in “Operation Life Line” for over 10 years. She enjoyed calling and checking on the group of people she was assigned. She also did volunteer work for the Ridgeview Elementary School in Olathe.

Dorotha was an “excellent” cook and has always enjoyed cooking and baking for others. Christmas was always a special time of year because she always prepared a lot of different candies and cookies. In 2013 she was presented with her own personal cookbook that featured many of her family-favorite recipes. 

She was a LOVING and wonderful mom, grandma, and great-grandma and was loved by all of her family. She is survived by her Children-Pam (Jamie) Williamson of Paola, KS, Shelley

(Danny) Craig of Union City, TN, Steven (Julie) Kieffaber of Hillsdale, KS, Scott (Tina) Kieffaber of Holton, KS, Chris (Denise) Kieffaber of Kansas City, KS, 10 Grandchildren, 20 Great Grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be given in her name to Villa St. Francis, 16600 West 126th, Olathe, KS 66062.
