Ato Desalegn Yeshewawork Woldetsadik, born on September 22, 1939, in Debre Birhan town. Ato Desalegn commenced his primary education at Kusquam School in Addis Ababa and subsequently underwent vocational training at Tegbare-ed Vocational School. He furthered his academic pursuits at Addis Ababa University (Amst Kilo), graduated in Civil Engineering.
Throughout his illustrious career, he exemplified integrity and responsibility, making significant contributions to the government's construction sector, notably as the head of roads and buildings at Addis Ababa Municipality. Ato Desalegn married Mrs. Yetemwork Sirak, with whom he had three sons, multiple grandchildren, and was renowned for his devotion as a grandfather.
A man of unwavering faith, humility, and compassion, Ato Desalegn was revered for his wise counsel.
At Entoto Mekane Yesus Church, he served diligently as a deacon and elder. Upon relocating to America, he continued his spiritual journey as a member of the Ethiopian Evangelical Churches Association in Kansas.
His life was distinguished by unwavering dedication to his work, family, and divine service.
As aptly described in Psalm 116:15, 'Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of the saints.'
