With deep sorrow we announce today that David Russell Sweet of Olathe, Ks died June 3rd, 2023.
David was born in Wichita, October 3rd, 1964, to his parents Gerald and Brenda (Hall) Sweet. He attended school in Americus Kansas and finished High School in Emporia Ks. He graduated with honors in 1984 and went on to further his education at The University of Texas. He then later received his Bachelor's degree of Finance through Emporia State University in 1988.
David loved passing time watching sports of any kind! His favorite teams to watch were The Dallas Cowboys and the KC Chiefs! He loved KU Jayhawks and the Texas Longhorns as well as the KC Royals. You could always catch him watching NASCAR too. His love for racing turned into a passion for playing the video game Gran Turismo.
David will be missed by his father Gerald Russell Sweet of Emporia, Ks., his mother Brenda Hall of Emporia , Ks., his brother and sister-in-law Don and Michelle Sweet of Tampa, Fl., his sister and brother-in-law Scott and Heather Townsend of Olathe, Ks., Dave Hogan of Olathe, Ks., and all his Aunts and Uncles, Cousins and Nieces and Nephews.
He was preceded in death by his grandmother and grandfather Russell and Lorraine Sweet of Americus, Ks., and his step mother Dee Ann Sweet of Emporia, Ks., his step sister Candace (Hogan) Moore of DeSoto, Ks., his uncle William Sweet of Wichita, Ks.
