Cynthia Y. Benson

Cynthia Yutuc Benson, born on June 4, 1945, in Manila, Philippines, passed away unexpectedly on June 27, 2025, in Olathe, Kansas.

Cynthia dedicated her professional life to the field of human resources, serving as a Human Resources Manager for an Insurance Education and Certification company until her retirement. Throughout her career, she was known for her unwavering commitment to fostering a supportive and enriching workplace environment, embodying the joy that she radiated in her personal life.

She will be fondly remembered for her vibrant personality and her ability to bring happiness to those around her. Her love for life and her passion for helping others were evident in all her endeavors. Especially the many exceptional Filipino dishes she loved to prepare and serve to family and friends. She inspired many through her work and personal interactions, leaving a lasting impression on all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Surviving are her loving husband, Douglas, as well as her cherished daughters, Kimberly Benson-Prochazka and Karen Little, and her granddaughter, Emme Little, who will carry her legacy forward. She is also survived by her brother, Ricardo Yutuc, Jr., and sister, Laine Seidel, who have shared both the joys and challenges of life alongside her.

Cynthia's parents, Ricardo Yutuc, Sr., and Presentacion San Pedro Yutuc, preceded her in death. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will continue to live on in the hearts of her family and friends.

An open house celebration of her life will be held from 2:00 - 4:00 p.m. on July 11 at the Bensons’ residence.
