Charles Paul Mulligan

Charles (Chuck) Paul Mulligan, 86, died Thursday September 4th, 2025 at his home after an illness.

Chuck was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania to Joseph Paul and Fay Marie Mulligan. He attended Carnegie High School and joined the US Air Force in August of 1956 and served honorably until May of 1960. After his service, he began work in the optical industry and continued in this field of work until his retirement.

He was preceded in death by his wife Marilyn Lee Mulligan (Ridinger), and his son Charles Morgan Mulligan.

He is survived by his sister Fay Marie Krapp (Thomas); his daughter, Maurya Lee Mitchell (Mark); his daughter in law, Deborah Irene Mulligan (Chuck); his beloved grandchildren: Meghan Lee Pessetto, Evan Richard Mitchell MD (Talara), Colleen Marie Riffel (Jordan), Joseph Charles Mitchell (Melanie) and great-grandchildren Tucker Lee, Owen James, Maren Lee, Colton Charles, and Stella Sage.

Chuck was loved and respected by everyone who enjoyed his company. He was our family patriarch in every way and his passing has created a tremendous void. Our hearts are comforted by the knowledge that he is once again with his beautiful bride and beloved son.

Chuck did not want any services or hoopla made over his death. He would rather you gather with those you love and drink a beer in his honor. And, if you know Chuck well, any donations should be made to your retirement accounts.
