Carol J Nolte

December 23, 1943 — July 24, 2024

Carol “Joyce” Nolte, 80 of Edgerton, Kansas, sadly left our world on July 24, 2024 after a life richly lived in devotion and faith.

Joyce was born in 1943 to Beulah and Orrin Croan in Kincaid, Kansas. She was the youngest of ten children. Her early years were filled with family, fun and hard-work. Joyce married Harold Nolte, her loving husband of 64 years, and together raised 4 children.

Joyce was woman of faith and love. She challenged those around her to be the best version of themselves, reminding them of their strengths and what they were capable of. Always available to share her wisdom whether it be relationships, bible study, “Grandma what do I do?” Or instructions for how to make her wonderful dishes, potato soup being the family favorite. She has left behind cherished memories of laughter, lessons and love. Above all leaving an example of grace, faith and resilience.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Orrin Croan and Beulah Croan (Stuteville), siblings Patty McMaster (Croan), Quinn Croan, Loren Croan, Leita Godwin (Croan), Eloise Silvey (Croan), Richard Croan, Marieta Croan, Claude Croan, Floyd Croan, Son in law Michael Bartlett.

She is survived by her husband Harold Nolte; Four Children, Katrina Michaelis (Nolte) and husband Scott, Timothy Nolte, Jana Kranz (Nolte) and husband Micol, Lisa Bartlett (Nolte); twelve grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren passing down her love a Bushel and a Peck. We will miss her love, encouragement, confidence, amazing hugs and her jokes of the day.

In lieu of flowers the family requests that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society.
