Candace Elaine Woodson, a beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away on September 19th, 2025 at KU Medical Center surrounded by family and friends. She was born on July 21, 1948 in Kansas City, Missouri to Stanley and Mildred Warner. Candy lived a life dedicated to her family, church family and friends.

Candy grew up in Kansas City, Missouri before moving to Kansas City, Kansas in her early twenties. She spent 27 years working at BG Service Solutions where she began her career as a Customer Service Representative. She was promoted to Director of Customer Service where her relationship building and problem solving skills set her and the company apart. The face to face customer service model that was developed transformed the service industry. Candy was a hard worker and had a very successful career, yet her pride and joy was her family and her project was her husband.

Outside of her professional life, Candy’s greatest joys came from spending time with family and friends. She loved attending all the grandkids’ activities as well as her many yearly trips to the lake.

Above all, Candy’s faith in Jesus was her foundation and was seen in her ability to bring people together. Candy is the one that brought the immediate Dean Woodson family and extended Woodson family together. We rejoice in knowing Candy is now in the presence of her Savior.

Candy is survived by her husband, Dean and children – Tanya Tiszka, Bart & Jennifer Woodson, and Aaron Woodson. She treasured being “Nana” to Chloe Wyrick and Grandma Candy to Laynne, Kennedy, Tucker, Ryan, Riley, and Thatcher. She was preceded in death by her parents Stanley and Mildred Warner and daughter Heather Woodson.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Heather Woodson Memorial Scholarship C/O Raytown Educational Foundation, 10705 E. 350 Highway, Raytown, MO 64138. Please make your check to: REF and in the memo line: Heather Woodson Memorial Scholarship.
