Beverly Jo Brumbaugh

November 15, 1935 — May 31, 2022

Beverly Jo Brumbaugh was first and foremost a woman of faith. Her soul, linked to God, returned to Him on May
31, 2022. She strove to live her life to please her Savior, and in the end, was truly a reflection of how He walked
on this earth. In the last season of her life, she spent her time in prayer and loving her 8 adult children and their
spouses, 13 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren, her spiritual family at College Church, the residents at the
Gardens at Creekside, and this world that she left behind.

Born in Kansas to Russell and Mary LaVerne Hankison, she moved as a child with her family during the
Depression to the state of Washington. She is preceded in death by her father, mother and two sisters, Emma
Lou Kramer and Wanda Mills and survived by her brother, Chuck Wallick. From her family of origin, she learned
values which served her throughout her life: hard work and adaptability, creating the warmth of a home, and the
importance of relationships with family and friends.

She met and married Jack Brumbaugh, welcoming and raising eight children together. In the 1970s, they moved
to the Midwest and several other states, including Florida where she buried her husband of 33 years, and then
finally returning to her birth state of Kansas. Beverly is survived by her children and their spouses: Pamela
Standing, Kemberly Michaels, Shelley Nannenga and her husband Carl, Michael Brumbaugh and his wife Golda,
Matthew Brumbaugh and his wife Gretchen, Peter Brumbaugh and his wife Tami, Gretchen Adams and her
husband Andy, and Rachel Overton and her husband Christopher.

Beverly was a loving sister, mother, aunt, and grandmother to many (related and unrelated) and a friend to those
who would pause long enough to receive a hug from her. Her friends at Creekside will miss her fellowship and
early morning greetings. Her church family will miss how she worshipped with abandon. Her children and their
spouses will miss her laughter, her stories, her wisdom, and her listening heart. Her extended family, including
nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren will miss her phone calls and unconditional love.

While her last days were short and filled with pain, she stated that she was at peace and that all was well with her
soul. Now, she is dancing in the arms of the Jesus, for all eternity.

At her request, Beverly did not want to hold a funeral but rather wished for a Celebration of Life. The family will
hold a private memorial at a later date.
