Betty Millican

Betty was born July 15, 1931, in Atlanta, Georgia to Sam and Effie Breazeale. She passed away on Friday, December 26, 2025.

Betty grew up in Florence, Alabama, went to Coffee High School, then moved to Chattanooga and graduated at 16 and went to work at GMAC for 5 years.

Betty and Knox were married in 1954 and had 3 daughters. They lived in Birmingham, Alabama many years then transferred to New Orleans. After 18 years of being a full-time mom, Betty went back to work at Sears and was a pianist for many years in the Baptist church.

She was preceded in death by parents, her husband, Knox Millican and daughter Tamara Millican.

Betty is survived by her daughters Lyn Dileo (Mike) and Patti Stanford, grandson Michael Dileo (Michelle) granddaughters Cortney Howell (Jason) Lindsay Beard (Brad) & Sidney Dileo. Also 5 greats, Kaleb, Luke, Jaxson, Gus, Cora & twins Michael and Samuel.

A memorial service will be held in April 2026.
