Barbara Ann Valentine

Barbara Ann Valentine, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away peacefully on September 8, 2026, at the age of 71. She was born on November 25, 1954, in Canton, Illinois.

Barbara dedicated the majority of her career to Physicians Reference Laboratory, where she built lasting friendships and was respected for her dedication and commitment to her work. She later continued her career with Quest Laboratories before retiring.

Barbara will be remembered most for the love she had for her family and the special place each of them held in her heart. She was a devoted mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Her family was her greatest source of pride and joy, and she cherished the time spent with them and the memories they created together.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents Betty McLouth and Cecil McLouth.

She is survived by her sisters, Pat (Richard) Tregnago, Linda Thomas, Karen Vandiver, and Janet (Don) Hendren; her brothers, Greg (Kara) McLouth and Kevin McLouth; her daughters, Lindsay (Chris) Krueger and Erin (Kyle) Youngs; and her six grandchildren, Gabriel, Nathaniel, Everly, Harper, Kipton, and Adeline.

Barbara leaves behind a family who loved her deeply and who will carry her memory with them. Her kindness, love, and presence will be greatly missed, but the memories she created with her family will remain a lasting part of their lives.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on September 11, 2026, from 9:00 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S Black Bob Rd, Olathe, Kansas. A funeral service will follow at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place afterward at Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 15800 South Hwy, US-169, Olathe, Kansas.
