Aleta Maurine Johnson, born on January 29, 1927, in Spring Hill, Kansas, peacefully passed away on December 21, 2025, in Lenexa, Kansas. She leaves behind a legacy of dedication and service, having devoted 30 years of her life to the United States Government as an Employee Relations Specialist. Aleta's career was marked by her commitment to fostering positive relationships within the workplace, and her contributions were felt by many throughout her tenure.
Aleta was a proud graduate of John P St. John High School in Olathe, Kansas. Her experiences during her formative years shaped her into the compassionate and thoughtful individual she became, always striving to make a difference in the lives of those around her.
In addition to her professional accomplishments, Aleta was a long-time member of the Overland Park Christian Church, where she engaged with her community and nurtured her faith. Her involvement in the church provided her with a sense of belonging and purpose, and she treasured the relationships she built within that congregation.
Aleta is survived by her step-son, Charlie (Sharen) Johnson, who cherished her deeply and will carry on her memory with love and respect. She is also survived by her sister, Betty Woolson, and her brother, Turner Graves. She was preceded in death by her brother, William Graves.
