Albert “Tom” Thomas Neilon, born on August 22, 1946 in Kansas City, Missouri, passed away on May 21, 2025, in Olathe, Kansas. Known as Tom, he led a life marked by dedication to his work as an auto painter and a passion for bowling that brought joy and companionship to those around him.
Tom graduated from Rosedale High School and in 1985 earned an Associate’s Degree from Kansas City Kansas Community College. His skills as an auto painter were not just a profession; they were a reflection of his attention to detail and commitment to quality, earning the respect of colleagues and clients alike throughout his years in the business. After retiring he then chose to be a school bus driver for the Olathe School District for over 10 years. He enjoyed bowling, a hobby that allowed him to connect with friends while enjoying friendly competition and camaraderie. Tom was a huge fan of the KC Royals and the KC Chiefs.
Tom is survived by former spouse Toni Neilon of Olathe; sister-in-law Dana Neilon of Olathe; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents, John L. Neilon and Laura (Marshall) Neilon and six brothers.
He will always be remembered by his great sense of humor and caring heart.
A graveside service will be held on June 20, 2025 at the Olathe Memorial Cemetery, 738 N Chestnut St., Olathe, KS 66061 at 1:00pm.
