Alan Mark Gleason, born April 18, 1952, in New Bedford, Massachusetts, to James and Leona (Demaris) Gleason, passed away on April 4, 2026.
Alan is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Kathy Gleason. He is also survived by his siblings, Ralph Gleason, William Gleason, and Marsha Roque (Rod), along with several loving nieces and nephews.
He leaves behind his children, Jennifer Alley (Paul), Cheryl Callahan, and Alysia Harder-Spence (Brett). Alan was a proud grandfather to Ashley (Kevin), Corey, Corbin, Justin (Katy), Savannah (Dylan), Lauren, and Aaron, and a cherished great-grandfather to Henry, Griffin, Braylon, Lexi, and Danielle. He also held a special place in his heart for his bonus grandchildren, Matilda, Zachary, Alexander, Claire, and Gabriel.
Alan found joy in life’s simple, meaningful moments. Whether he was watching birds in quiet reflection, tending to his garden, or standing near the ocean he loved, he appreciated the world around him in a way that brought peace to those who shared it with him. He had a deep love for the outdoors and adventure, often setting out to explore the country in his RV, creating memories along the way.
He was a natural builder and problem-solver, always tinkering with broken items and bringing them back to life—often better than before. But more than anything, Alan treasured time spent with family and friends. With a drink in hand and a story to share, he had a way of making moments feel full, easy, and unforgettable.
A celebration of life will be held in June with details to follow.

His presence, humor, and steady spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
