Alan Cochran

Alan James Cochran passed away peacefully at his home in Olathe, KS on Thursday, February 6th, 2025.

 Alan was born on January 17th, 1946 at Saint Mary's hospital in KC, MO to James Albert and Mary Jean (Davidson) Cochran. He spent his whole life in Olathe and in his youth attended Countryside School, and Olathe High School. His family and friends will always remember his passion for mechanics, especially John Deere tractors and airplanes. Alan restored an unknown number of tractors and was even able to track down the first tractor he ever owned, which was to be his next project.

 Alan was well respected and known for his impeccable integrity and generosity. He was always teaching, even during his last weeks of life. He will be missed by many.

 Alan is survived by his mother Mary Jean Cochran, of Olathe, who is 101 years old; brothers David (Carol), Art (Joan), and Jeff, 6 nieces and nephews, and 12 great nieces and nephews. Celebration of Life will be held at Advanced Aviation, New Century Airport in Olathe, KS at 2:00 on April 26th.
