Cole Gabriel Anderson
2002 - 2023

Cole Gabriel Anderson, 20, passed away unexpectedly in his sleep on Friday, April 28, 2023.

Born with much fanfare on September 3, 2002, in Mission, Kansas to Cori and Christopher Anderson, he joined brothers Christopher and Chad. He was our sunshine.

He is survived by his parents and his brothers. He is also survived by his grandmothers, Connie Snider and Beth Anderson, uncles Jeremy Snider, Dave Anderson (Donna) and Darin Salts; and aunts Peggy Salts and Janie Snider. His cousins Devynn Coleman (Grant), Milo Logan, and Blake Snider; Paige, Gracie, and Nate Salts; and Thor, Zane, and Lillian Anderson survive as well.

Cole graduated from Free State High School in Lawrence, Kansas and attended Wichita State University for his freshman year. Cole had recently moved into his own apartment and was just starting to build his life. He was a hard worker, loved his job at Sonic, a loyal friend, and a bright light in the world for so many.

Cole was a fun, spirited soul who lived life the loudest. He loved his friends and his brothers and being a dwarf athlete. The Little People of America (LPA) and the Dwarf Athletic Association of America (DAAA) were a huge part of Cole’s life. Cole’s big attitude and likable personality helped make him as popular in Lawrence as he was in the LPA community. Cole was the center of attention everywhere he went. He made an impact on many lives. Cole taught people kindness, in a kind way, when they didn’t know how to give it themselves. Cole showed others what is possible, he never let obstacles get in his way. He will be forever missed.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, May 13 at 11:00 AM at St. Thomas the Apostle Episcopal Church in Overland Park. A reception will follow the service.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Cole Anderson to the Dwarf Athletic Association of America, Inc. Please make your check payable to Dwarf Athletic Association of America, Inc., and mail it to them at PO Box 2 Kentfield, CA 94914-0002.
