He was born August 26, 1953 in Kansas City, MO to William and Rayeina Pulliam. Ronald attended Southwest High School in Kansas City, MO, and went on to graduate with his bachelor's degree from Missouri Western State in St. Joseph, MO in 1976.
In June of 1977, he was united in marriage to Marilyn Mendell.
He was employed with Quest Diagnostics in various roles, most recently as a Systems Analyst, for 31 years, until his retirement.
He enjoyed coaching the girls’ soccer teams and attending all the activities they participated in. He also enjoyed watching KU basketball, cheering on the Chiefs, and spending time with his grandkids.
Ronald had a contagious laugh and always had a smile on his face. He enjoyed helping the community by volunteering at various events around Olathe. He also held a special place in his heart for “The Neighborhood.” He enjoyed all the events and good times they had throughout the years. Ronald was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church.
Surviving family include his wife, Marilyn Pulliam, his daughter Christina Hiemstra, son-in-law Erik Hiemstra, daughters Melissa Pulliam and Jillian Walters, son-in-law Trever Walters, grandchildren Emma Hiemstra, William Hiemstra, Lauren Hiemstra, Leah Walters, and Logan Walters, and his brother William (Thada) Pulliam and sister Kathy (Ken) Linscott.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the HealthWell Foundation.
