A graduate of Wilson College and Seth G.S. Medical College in Mumbai, India, he immigrated to the United States in 1969 to complete his surgical residency at St. Luke’s Hospital in St. Louis, MO. In 1976, he moved his young family to the community of Fulton, MO where he continued to practice medicine for over 30 years. He was well loved by his community, coworkers and patients.
Dilip is survived by his children, Amit Parulekar of Houston, TX and Ashwini Parulekar of Leawood, KS; sister, Alka Amonker of Overland Park, KS; nieces, Amita Amonker (Terry) Lee and Bhairavi (Gary) Kinder.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 31 years, Mangal (Desai).
The family will receive guests for a visitation from 10:00-10:30 am on Sunday, December 4, 2022, at Penwell Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, KS, the funeral service will immediately follow at 10:30 am.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Dilip’s memory be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society or the Ravindra (Robin) & Alka Amonker Scholarship Fund at Missouri State University.
