Joseph Dow Collins, age 71, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away November 15, 2022 at his home.

He was born on July 10, 1951 to Harley and Dorothea (Swick) Collins in Clarksburg, West Virginia.

Joe was a 1973 graduate of West Virginia University with a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration.

Joseph worked as a materials manager and warehouse supervisor for AGC in Bridgeport, West Virginia and Spring Hill, Kansas, until his retirement in 2015.

On July 28, 1979, he married Lydia L. Lawson, and they made their home in Bridgeport, West Virginia and Olathe, Kansas. He is also survived by his son Joseph Christopher Collins of Olathe, and sister, Karen Griggs, of Bridgeport, West Virginia. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Joe was a member of The United Methodist Church of the Resurrection, and also attended Aldersgate United Methodist Church for many years.

Joe loved the West Virginia mountains where he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also spent time fishing at Bennett Spring State Park, along with hunting pheasant in western Kansas.

Joe also loved cheering on his Pittsburg Steelers, and West Virginia Mountaineers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations to the American Cancer Society or Great Plains SPCA.
