Evelyn Joyce Diener, age 101, passed away in St. Petersburg, Florida on August 4, 2022.

Evelyn was born September 23, 1920 in Sarcoxie, MO to Thomas and Mae Moore. She married Monroe Harding Diener on April 24, 1948 in Joplin, MO. and together they had one daughter Nancy Kay. They resided in Kansas City, MO where Monroe worked for General Motors Corp. for 30 years. Evelyn worked for R.B. Jones Insurance until the time of her retirement. Evelyn was widowed in 2006 and lived in Olathe, KS until 2013 when she relocated to Cape Coral, FL to be near her daughter. In 2019 she moved with her daughter and son-in-law to St. Petersburg, FL.

She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Olathe. She was a dedicated mother and wife and loved being outdoors in her flower gardens. She also loved to travel and enjoyed jigsaw puzzling and playing Bunco with her neighborhood friends.

Surviving family include her daughter Nancy Housh and son-in-law Randall Hallier, sister Betty McCallister of Webb City, MO. and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, her brother Gordon Moore, and her sister Earlene Ewing.
