He worked for AT&T for 38 years as a cable splicer, he was able to retire at the age of 54. Dan had many passions in his life, one being his family , if any of his family needed anything they just had to say the word and he was there. Dan especially loved being a papa to his wonderful grandchildren. One of his favorite things to do was to be up before the dawn so that he could watch the sunrise and watch mother nature waking up. He loved watching and cheering on his beloved Jayhawks. Dan enjoyed being an outdoorsman, loved photography, to watch and be in the moment with wildlife, and the thrill of the hunt.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents Lowell and Josephine Amspacker and Vernon and Clara Burbank. And by his parents Earl and Jean Amspacker & His grandson Elijah Amspacker.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years , Judy Amspacker and their son Anthony Amspacker and wife Jamie, along with his grandchildren Landen and Autumn Amspacker. His sister Marcia and her husband Tom Corbin, his brother Don Amspacker and many nieces and nephews.
