Patricia June Wyatt
1939 - 2022

Patricia June Wyatt, 82, of Overland Park, passed away on May 12, 2022 at Research Medical Center.

She was born on July 18, 1939, to Wilbur and Doris (McKee) Goley at Enid, OK. In 1943, the family moved to Pampa, TX, and then a couple of years later to Fredonia, KS. After First Grade in Fredonia, the family moved back to Enid. Following graduation from Enid High School in 1957, Patricia attended Enid Business School, where she met her future husband.

On November 22, 1958, she married Kenneth Wyatt. They made their home initially in Enid, Oklahoma, where their family expanded to four with the addition of daughters, Karen and Janine. Then a move to Stillwater OK, and son Doug joined the family. Kenneth’s work as a salesman moved them numerous times during their marriage. They lived in Bethany OK, Jackson MS, Slidell LA, back to Enid, then Conroe TX, where last but not least Wendy was born. Then on to Memphis TN, Gladstone MO and last as a couple to Erie KS in 1978. After Kenneth’s death Patricia moved to the Kansas City area in 1999, an area she loved and where several of her immediate family settled as well.

After Business School and before children, Patricia worked as a Legal Secretary; caring for the expanding family was her next full-time career. Later Patricia went back to school at Labette Community College, pursuing a Respiratory Therapy Degree, graduating in 1984 with an Associate in Applied Science in Respiratory Therapy. She worked at Hospitals in Parsons, Fredonia and Chanute, as a Respiratory Therapist. While in Kansas City, she worked as an Administrative Assistant for several companies before settling at American Century from 2000 until retirement in 2010.

In Erie, KS Patricia was an Elder in the Presbyterian Church at Erie Federated Church, during her time as an Elder she had the opportunity to attend a General Assembly of the Presbyterian Church (U.S.A.). While in the Kansas City area she was most recently a member of Redeemer Presbyterian Church in Overland Park, KS. Patricia enjoyed watching and listening to her beloved KC Royals as well as the Chiefs, the Deer Creek "Sunday Gang", her friends in OWBB, church friends and activities. But mostly loved being around her family of 4 children, 9 grandchildren and especially the 14 great-grandchildren.

Patricia is survived by her loving children, Karen Seeger (Tom), Janine Bachelor (Brad), Douglas Wyatt (Myong), and Wendy Hymer (David), grandchildren Aaron Walker, Candace Page, Kendall Mangicaro, Kristen Walker, Jordan Piha, Tiffany Vitt, Sonnie Newman, McLain Hymer and Mallory Hymer, and great-grandchildren Ethan, Grace, Jackson, Asher, Mackenzie, Avery, Theo, Stephanie Michele, Ben, Lane, Oliver, Beckett, James and Brooks

She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth; her parents Wilbur and Doris Goley, and two granddaughters Stephanie Leigh and Lauren.

Memorials are suggested to the Kansas City Royals Charities, Ronald McDonald House or the American Stroke Association.
