Brandon Terrance Gunter, 36, of Olathe, KS, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 1, 2022.

He was born on August 29, 1985, in Overland Park, KS, to Terry and Donna (Dikeman) Gunter, the first of their three sons.

Brandon was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Margaret (Howell) Dikeman, of DeSoto, KS.

He is survived by his parents, Terry and Donna Gunter of Olathe, KS; his brother Trenton (Laureen) Gunter of Edgerton, KS; his brother Cameron Gunter, of Olathe, KS; his daughter, Brinley Madison Gunter, of Olathe, KS; his paternal grandparents, Arlie and JoAnn Gunter of Cincinnati, OH; and two nephews (Braeden and Carson Gunter) and a niece (Alayna Gunter). Brandon is also survived by his uncle, Mike Dikeman; his aunt Wanda (Dikeman) Eby and uncle Rob Eby; and cousins Michael Dikeman, Robert (Kristy) Dikeman, Mary Barbara (Josh) Adams, Andrew Dikeman, Saundra Chapman, and Spencer (Sophia) Thompson.

Although he attended Countryside Elementary, Pioneer Trail Junior High, and Olathe South High School, Brandon earned a General Equivalency Diploma (GED) to complete his high school education. He also completed approximately 2 years of coursework at Donnelly College. After working several jobs, all that involved working with his hands, he finally settled in with Tigris Specialty Construction Company, where he had been employed from 2013 until the time of his death.

Brandon enjoyed being with his daughter, spending time with his family, hanging out with his many friends, and cheering for the Kansas City Chiefs and the Ohio State Buckeyes! He was an avid football fan and was always in several fantasy football leagues each fall! He also enjoyed being outdoors, spending time at the lake and camping with his buddies!

Brandon had a big heart. He loved to help people and was always the first to remember birthdays, anniversaries, and holidays! Celebrating these special occasions was important to him. He will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him, but will forever be in our hearts and our memories!

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, 14275 S. Black Bob Rd., Olathe, KS, with the memorial service starting at 6:00 p.m. A private graveside service will take place at a later date at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, Olathe, KS.
