Linda Susan Hughes, 67, of Mountain Top, PA passed away on Sunday, May 1, 2022 in Olathe, KS.
She was born on September 25, 1954 in Kingston, Pennsylvania to John and Eleaner (Vinscavage) Williams.
Linda grew up and lived most of her life in Mountain Top, PA. She was married to her husband Paul for 45 years. Their journey together began in her hometown, where they lived and raised their family, until a job transfer brought them to the Kansas City area 12 years ago. Linda was first and foremost a wonderful homemaker and devoted mother to her favorite (and only) son, Paul. Linda got to witness her son marry the love of his life and most recently, joined the long-awaited ranks of Grandmother status, with her first grandson due this October. Linda is an avid NASCAR fan, an animal lover, and absolutely loved being surrounded by and laughing with family and friends. She will be missed greatly by all who were blessed to know her.
She is preceded in death by her father and mother.
Linda is survived by her husband, Paul Hughes; son, Paul and daughter-in-law Erin (Stein) Hughes; one sister, Carol (Williams) Yeager; two brothers Harry and John Williams; and six nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be from 6pm to 8pm on Thursday, May 12, 2022 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe. Her Funeral will be held at 11:30am (with recitation of the Holy Rosary at 11am) on May 13, 2022 also at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home, with burial to follow at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Overland Park.
