Nancy Ann Bruenjes, 87, passed away on January 5, 2022 at Olathe Hospice House.

She was born on October 20, 1934 to Mike and Albina (Kramer) Nepote at Girard, KS.

On April 23, 1955, she married LeRoy "Lee" John Bruenjes, and they made their home in Olathe, KS.

She enjoyed raising her family, and also bowling, cooking and gardening. She was involved in her children's school and their activities and she enjoyed watching her grandchildren participate in their sports. Nancy and Lee loved to go to polka dances and on cruises with their friends. Nancy was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary for many years, and was an avid Kansas City Chiefs and KU Basketball fan!

Nancy is survived by her loving daughters, Teri (Lynn) Messer of Olathe, KS; daughter, Brenda Wilde of Gardner, KS, grandchildren: Adam (Cyndee) Messer; Michelle Messer and Justin Wilde (Lindsey Burleson) and great-grandchildren, Sofia Wilde, Andrew and Ali Svoboda.


She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband, LeRoy "Lee" Bruenjes, and her two brothers Robert and Richard Nepote.

A visitation and Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, January 11, 2022 from 12:30pm-2:30pm at Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel.
