Ken was born on January 18, 1974 to James E. Thompkins and Sondra Hopson.
He spent his early years in Olathe, KS and attended schools in the Olathe School District, graduating in 1993 from Olathe East High School.
Ken worked for Julien Fleming Furniture, Culligan, and Lumpy's Bar and Grill. He loved cooking for all his friends at Lumpy's!
In his spare time, Ken enjoyed smoking meats and often you would pull up to his home and his smoker would be going strong.
Ken enjoyed nothing more than spending time in Springfield, MO with his family and sisters. He would go visit every chance he would get. He will be remembered for sharing much knowledge with his many friends and family.
He is preceded in death by his father, James Thompkins, his sister, Matosha Hopson and his brother, Sparky Hopson.
He leaves to mourn his mother, Sondra Hopson, sisters Bresa Thompkins, Colandra Spencer, nieces Sondra, Annika, McKenzie, and Madison and nephew, Alex. Ken is also survive by many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. He will be missed by many.
