Larry Alan Burford, 79, of Overland Park, passed away on November 15, 2021 at home surrounded by his family.

He was born on May 17, 1942 to Elmer and Margaret (Williams) Burford in Wichita, KS. He served our country in the US Army, and was honorably discharged in 1963.

On July 3, 1965, he married Mary Lou Landwehr, and they made there home in Wichita, KS, moving to Kansas City in 1972.

Larry spent his career in Nursing Home Administration and was the owner/operator of several nursing homes in Kansas and Missouri.

Larry was a member of the United Methodist Church of the Resurrection. He enjoyed spending time with Mary Lou, his children, grandkids and playing golf.

Larry is survived by his loving wife, Mary Lou, daughters Dana Sullivan, (Jon), Holly Gibson (Tim), and Katie Burford, son, Todd Burford ( Heather), grandchildren Alec (Kari), Taylor, Rachel, Hannah, Joshua, Isaiah, Abby, Ethan, and great-grand-daughters Eleanor and Olivia. He is also survived by his sisters Debbie Burks (Bob), and Carolyn Lary, and his brother Bill Burford.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Elmer and Margaret Burford and in-laws, Henry and Tillie Landwehr.
