In Memory Of
Ryan Christopher Kosanke
1973 - 2021

Ryan C. Kosanke, 48, of Wellsville, Kansas went to be with with our Lord Jesus on Tuesday, September 14, 2021. He was born on April 26, 1973 in Bryan, Texas to Stanley and Marilyn (Flaming) Kosanke.

Ryan was a quiet and gentle spirit who thoroughly enjoyed time with his family and friends. In the words of his big brother…Ryan was willing, patient and kind.
“Willing” to help his big brother practice accuracy with his sling shot,
“Patient” enough to allow his brother to aim at him as he ran across the backyard and “Kind” enough not to tell his parents why he had red welts all over his body.

Ryan loved spending time with family and friends, especially if that time was spent at a pond or lake while fishing!
He was a wonderful Dad to four boys in whom he delighted and a devoted husband who walked his wife through many surgeries and obstacles in life with a voice of encouragement and hope.

Ryan began his career as a software engineer immediately after graduating from Oklahoma State University. The highlight of his career has been working in aviation for Garmin in Olathe, Kansas. He delighted in watching air shows and seeing a jet fly over with some of his software work in the cockpit.

The words “willing” “patient” and “kind”
truly describe Ryan’s demeanor and are three reasons he will be missed very much as a son, brother, cousin, nephew, uncle, husband, father and friend. We treasure our memories with him and hold him in our hearts until we are together again in the presence of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Ryan is preceded in death by his grandparents Roy and Bertha Flaming of Corn, Oklahoma, Adolf and Ruth Kosanke of Cordell, Oklahoma and an infant daughter Karmel Kosanke.

Ryan is survived by his wife of 22 years, Calyn Kosanke, father, Stanley D. Kosanke, mother, Marilyn K. (Flaming) Kosanke, siblings, Jason Kosanke and Andrea (Kosanke) Sweeney and four sons Jacob, Nathan, Levi and Tytus Kosanke.

The graveside service will be held in Oklahoma at Avoca cemetery near Asher, OK on Monday, September 20, 2021, at 2:30pm. Dinner following for anyone who would like to join us at Immanuel Baptist Church Shawnee, OK.
