In 1967, Jean married her high school sweetheart, Michael Wehrell, embarking on a life of travel and adventure as an Air Force wife living across the US in Colorado, Nebraska, Hawaii, Montana, Louisiana, Illinois, as well as internationally in Australia and Germany. Throughout the many transitions, Jean was a devoted wife and mother, who enjoyed sewing, quilting, baking, shopping, travel, and Bible study in her free time. Being with family was her greatest joy whether sharing a feast, hanging out in and around the pool, or playing a game or puzzle.
