Farmer boy, Johnnie Leon Giffin, loving father and husband of 58 years, went to Heaven on July 22, 2021. His funeral Mass will be at Prince of Peace Catholic Church on Wednesday July 28, 2021 at 10 am.

Johnnie was born June 12th, 1938 in Ft. Scott, Kansas to Lawrence “Tub” and Maxine “Bob” Giffin. Growing up on a farm in Linn County, Kansas and serving 4 years in the U.S. Air force and an additional 3 years in the U.S. Army. Marrying his beloved wife of 58 years, Carole Bauer on October 6th of 1962.

In retirement from GM in Fairfax he enjoyed woodworking, traveling, square dancing and ballroom dancing.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother Carl “Bud” Giffin and brother-in-law Edward Canada.

He is survived by his wife, his son Scott (and wife Michelle) and grandchildren Alex and Spencer and his daughter Julie and his sister Sandra “sis” Canada, and brother Roger “PeeWee” Giffin.
