Haruko Homoto Bailey, 98, of Olathe, passed away on June 15, 2021 at Good Samaritan Nursing Center.

She was born on November 14, 1922 to Shigehita and Sueko Homoto in Tokyo, Japan.

Haruko spent her life caring for her family.


She was a member of Cedar Lake Village Community, and she enjoyed Dallas Cowboys Football, cooking, and spending time with her family.

Haruko is survived by her loving daughter, Kei Surber, grand-daughter Mariko Burger, grand-son-in-law Joey Burger, and great-grandson Aiden Burger, and three sisters.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James Bailey, and a brother.

Memorials are suggested to the Cedar Lake Village Community, Olathe, KS.
