In Memory Of
Peggy Ruth Campbell
1937 - 2021

Peggy Ruth Campbell passed peacefully into the loving arms of Jesus on April 30, 2021. She was born on January 6, 1937 in Ranger, Texas to Imogene and Thurman Jack Donowho. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings Gwen Culbreth and Jack Donowho, and her husbands Darrell Hawley and Harold Campbell. She is survived by her three children and their spouses: Jeanne & Pete Peterson, Tim & Rosanna Hawley, and Terri & Carl Shook. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne Donowho. Peggy was a cherished Gram to 10 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren who will miss her dearly.

Peggy spent most of her childhood in Texas and California before moving to Kansas as a teenager. She loved to plan big meals and cook everyone’s favorites. She was kind, generous, and loved to laugh. She volunteered for many years at her church and formed close relationships with those in her church family. Mom was our beautiful prayer warrior, deep in wisdom and knowledge of God’s word. We loved her very much, and Heaven’s gain is our loss. But, we rejoice in knowing that she is at peace and home with her Lord. We know we will see her again one day.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 7th at 1:00 pm at Oak Lawn Memorial Gardens, 13901 Black Bob Rd. In lieu of flowers, please consider a contribution in Peggy’s memory to Life Mission Church, 16111 Lone Elm Road, Olathe KS 66062.
