Ruth Joyce Williams, 73, of Olathe, Kansas, passed away on Tuesday, May 4, 2021. She was born on March 23, 1948 in Chicago, Illinois to Carl and Bernice (Klinkey) Swenson.
Ruth graduated from Wheaton High School and received her teaching and Master's Degree from Northern Illinois University. She went on to become an elementary teacher for many years. Ruth enjoyed playing the piano and taught lessons and often played at church and for weddings. In her free time, Ruth liked to read, and loved spending time with her family.
Ruth is survived by her loving husband, Fred Williams; daughters, Jennifer (Rusty) Steitz and Rebecca (Joe) Braun; grandchildren, Maddy Steitz (13), William Steitz (9), Hannah Braun (13), and Jackson Braun (8).
She is preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Bernice Swenson, and her brother, Edward Swenson.
