He was born on December 10, 1940 to Earl and Christena (Shetler) Siener in Metropolis, IL.
Jim served our country in the US Army and went on the serve as a police officer for Overland Park, KS. He retired in 1991 after 27 years of service. After retiring, he opened up an accounting practice and served as the President of the Kansas Tax Association.
James is survived by his loving wife of 42 years, Janice Siener (Burnett), his four daughters, Cheri (Brian) Steen, Stephanie (Vernon) Weeks, Staci Gustin and Jamie (Zachary) Bowman and nine grandchildren, Amanda, Kristina, Alyssa, Madison, Ryan, Jacob, Daniel, Mason and Charlie.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the Kansas City Hospice House in James' name.
