Jeffrey Scott Howell
October 4, 1948 — April 16, 2021
Jeffrey "Jeff" Scott Howell, 72, of Overland Park, Kansas, passed away on April 16, 2021, at Tallgrass Creek.
He was born on October 4, 1948, to Wm. Dale and Mary (Shira) Howell in Hoisington, Kansas.
On June 15, 1968, he married Carolyn "Lyn" Nissen.
Jeff received a BS in Business Administration at Rockhurst College and an MBA at Avila College.
He worked as an Accountant for Marion Labs for almost 30 years. After leaving Marion, he became
a Mortgage Broker, a Realtor, and a Tax Preparer for H&R Block.
A favorite pastime of Jeff's was traveling all over the world.
Jeffrey is survived by his wife, Lyn, his children Julie (Jeff) Marks, Chris (Jamie) Howell, and Jennie
(Kevin) Strathman, grandchildren Hunter and Colton Marks, Avery and Miles Howell, and Libby,
Miley and Tori Strathman, and a sister, Pamela Wyman.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Family services are private. Visitation is open to the public Thursday, May 6th, 2:00-3:30 at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home. Graveside services will follow at 4:00pm at Pleasant Valley Cemetery (9501 159th Street, Overland Park).
Memorials are suggested to the Alzheimer's Association.
