Terry E. Merrill, 68, of Lenexa, KS passed peacefully on Sunday February 28th, 2021 after a long battle with Parkinson’s disease and dementia. She was surrounded by immediate family when she went to be with the Lord.

Terry is preceded in death by her parents, Belvin and Grace Harrelson. She is survived by her husband of 49 years, Gene Merrill; her daughter and son in law, Melanie & Damon Meinholdt; her son and daughter in law, Rick and Kayla Merrill; her sister and brother in law, Diane & Bob Hite; her beloved grandchildren, Kelsey, Noah, Colby, and Kaylee Meinholdt; and many cousins along with other dear family members.

A visitation is scheduled for 10am on Friday March 5th at Church of the Resurrection West (24000 W Valley Pkwy, Olathe, KS 66061) followed immediately by her funeral service at 11am. Burial will be at Olathe Memorial Cemetery.

Terry was born March 31st, 1952 in Kansas City, MO to Belvin and Grace Harrelson. She graduated from Ruskin High School in 1970 and went on to work for Marion Labs and then later at the Church of the Resurrection. She married Walter Gene Merrill in 1971. They made their home in Raymore, MO (and later moved to Lenexa, KS) where they raised their two children. Terry enjoyed spending time at their lake house with family, traveling with friends, dancing to Elvis Presley and spending time with her grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson's Foundation

The family wants to thank everyone for the outpouring of love and support during this difficult time – Terry is no longer suffering and we are at peace knowing that she is in heaven reliving all the beautiful memories that she had once forgotten.
