Exancier Elias
1949 - 2021

Exancier Elias born on July 12, 1949 in Petit-Goave, Haiti. He was the 7th child out of 10 of Marie Rosela Merjuste and Jean Hermancier Elias. Exancier began his journey after his mother died. His aunt took custody and relocate to Port Au Prince. He started working as a tailor at the age of 16 which led him to marrying the love of his life on November 2, 1969 Rose Marie Fleurisma at the age of 20. In 1981, he began a new journey in the United States, in effort to provide a better life and opportunity for his family by getting a job at the Norwegian Cruise Line and later became a Chef.

Exancier created a legacy and left so many memories spread amongst his 13 children: Hugo Elias, Exantus, Marjory Calliste, Geordany Elias, Shella Desilma, Goldson Elias, Ricardo Elias, Katia Elias, Peggie Elias, Sandra Elias, Cinthia Elias, Sherly Pierre and Esner Jean and countless grandchildren and his adorable great grandchild, Thalia Rose Romero-Elias. He had a way of making those he encountered feel as they were part of his family.

Exancier wasn't perfect but he was a good Father, good husband, and a great Grandfather and an amazing Great-grandfather and jokester and a prankster. Over the years he gradually became the man we all knew he could be. He loves everybody he encounters, loved life but at the end wanted to be with his one true love.
