1998 - 2020
Joshua Lee McCoy, 22, of Olathe, passed away on December 29, 2020.
He was born on January 12, 1998 to Donald and Debra (Mitchell) McCoy at Kansas City, MO.
Josh graduated from Olathe Northwest High School in 2016 and was employed as a Forklift Operator for Horizon Global for the past two years.
Professional wrestling was Josh's passion and life's dream. He enjoyed Rap music, playing video games and spending time with his friends and family. He also enjoyed working out at the gym.
Joshua is survived by his loving parents, Don and Debra McCoy, sister Christina (Kevin Svoboda) McCoy his brothers, Joel (Gina Jackson) McCoy, and Stephen McCoy. His Aunt Lisa Mitchell and cousin Sami Mitchell. His Aunt Trish (Al) Ferrel, and cousins Matt (Melissa) Ferrel and Megan Prescott. And his niece Kayleigh Harvey. Also, his grandparents, Richard and Juanita Mitchell.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Don and Barbara McCoy, and his cousin Remington Mitchell.
Anyone who knew Josh would say how awesome he was and how they loved him. He had an incredible sense of humor, empathy and understanding. His motivation and drive was an inspiration. He was funny, blunt, and unapologetically himself. He was the most loving boy and an ally to everyone. He would always say, "I'm a lover, not a fighter," followed by that silly giggle of his. Josh was full of light and humor. He was a hard working, responsible young man, and made his family proud. We will love him always, and miss him forever.
