William “Bill” Wilfred Zacher, 76, of Olathe, KS passed Wednesday November 18, 2020 at Olathe Medical Center. Cremation is planned with a private service.

Bill was born December 19, 1943 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joseph and Karolina Zacher. He graduated from Bishop Miege High School in 1962 and then worked at the US Post Office until he was drafted into the Army in 1965. He completed his duty and received an Honorable Discharge.

Upon his return he went back to work for the Post Office for a short time before he moved to a new job at Kansas City Power & Light. Bill had a successful 40 year career at KCP&L. Starting as a Lineman and working his way into a corporate position where he retired as a Field Design Foreman.

Bill loved his family and truly enjoyed anything that involved his grandkids and great grandkids. Weekends were filled with grand and great grandkids games, birthdays and other activities. He was a big fan of the Chiefs, Royals and KU basketball. He enjoyed working in the yard, working on home projects and his garden. Bill also had great handyman skills and was always helping family and friends fix home problems or work on projects. Bill always enjoyed spending time with friends and in retirement catching up with past co-workers.
