1926 - 2020

Kui Soon Ha (Cha Umma) went to heaven to be with Jesus on November 8, 2020 at The St. Luke’s South Hospital in Overland Park, KS while holding her daughter Mihwa’s hand. She was 94 years old. Her funeral service was held at the Penwell-Gabel funeral home in Olathe, KS with a burial service at the Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Stanley, KS.

She was born in the southern city of Junju, South Korea on July 12, 1926. She went to a nursing school and served as a nurse until she got married. She raised five children and paved the way for all of them to get the highest education. She was a devoted Christian serving God all her life. When her beloved husband passed away, she enrolled in a night seminary school at age 47 and became an ordained minister at age 50. She helped many start-up churches both in Korea and in the US.

She loved singing, playing piano, and exercising even to the late part of her life. She was a beautiful and generous soul with loving smiles.
Kui Soon is survived by 5 children, 5 grand children and 5 great grand children.
