Allen Kent Crone (Butch), 69 of Olathe, passed away on November 9, 2020 at Olathe Medical Center.

He was born on December 2, 1950 to Douglas and Jessie (Hoover) Crone in Washington Iowa.

He graduated from The University of Iowa with a Bachelor of Science degree in May 1974. He was a life long devoted and passionate Hawkeye fan.

He had a successful 30-year career working as a Recreational Therapist, working with patients who struggled with mental health and or drug abuse. For the past 15 years he has been a truck driver, the last 5 years with North Cedar Trucking.

In Illinois he was a youth pastor and volunteered for many years for Youth for Christ, he also volunteered as a marriage counselor/spiritual advisor at Westside Family Church, went on a mission’s trip to India, he volunteered at City Union Mission (men’s shelter) and as a mentor for prisoners in Kansas City Missouri, and he also supported many Christian charities over the years.
