Martha A. Moll
1923 - 2020

Martha A. Moll, 97, Lenexa, KS, formerly of Olathe, KS, passed away October 21, 2020 at Overland Park Regional Medical Center.
The youngest of seven children, Martha was born on July 24, 1923 to Joseph William and Teresa Mae (Walker) Moll on the family farm west of Olathe. She attended grade school in the one room Moonlight school and graduated from Olathe High School with the class of 1941. After high school she worked at the Sunflower Ordnance Works, DeSoto, KS. In 1945 she began her long and successful career with Trans World Airlines, working in the accounting department for nearly forty years before retirement.
Working for TWA, Martha had the opportunity to travel the world. She traveled to such far flung places as Hong Kong, India, Thailand, Australia, and the Holy Land and went on an African safari. She also made several trips to Europe and destinations in the United States over the years.
Martha was a lifelong, faithful member of St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Olathe. A kind and gentle soul, Martha enjoyed her flowers and feeding and watching the wild birds in her yard. She was devoted to her family and spending time with her large extended family brought her much happiness. She was truly a peacemaker and a servant, cherishing the time she spent serving others, particularly as a Communion minister to the sick and homebound.
Martha was preceded in death by her parents, four sisters; Gertrude Moll, Mary Toplikar, Teresa Toplikar, and Louise Bird, two brothers; Elmer Moll and Joseph Moll; a beloved sister-in-law Marjorie Moll; two nephews; Eugene Moll and Edward Moll, and one niece, Janis Hamacher. Martha is survived by her loving nieces and nephews, Carol Rathbun, Shirley Goode, Susie Echols, Mary Cooper, Leo Moll, Charlie Toplikar, Jim Bird, John Bird, Joe Moll, John Moll, and Daniel Moll. She also leaves many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Memorials are suggested to St. Paul’s Catholic Church building fund, 21650 W. 115th Terrace, Olathe, KS 66061; or Kansas City Hospice and Palliative Care, 1500 Meadow Lake Parkway, Suite 200, Kansas City, MO 64114.
