Wilma C. McCallister, age 101, born in rural Abilene, Kansas to Horace and Nellie Cormack, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 13, 2020 at Colonial Village in Overland Park, Kansas. She is survived by her daughter and son-in- law, Lynn and Jeff Anderson, her son and daughter-in-law, Gary and Mary McCallister, four grandchildren, Sarah Anderson, Kerby Busch (Michael), Marc McCallister (Liz) and Kate McCallister (Hael Alashawe) and five great-grandchildren, Jack, Beckett, Grace and Keegan McCallister and Audrey Shems Alashawe. Wilma spent years as an active member of civic and charitable organizations in Kansas City, including Colonial Presbyterian Church, PEO Chapter HJ and Rotary 13 Auxiliary of which she was a Paul Harris Fellow. Later in life she enjoyed board and card games, puzzles, and travel with friends and family. Her dedication to family, friends and her independent approach to life were her hallmarks. Cremation and inurnment in Roselawn Cemetery in Salina, Kansas will be private.

A memorial service will be held at Colonial Presbyterian Church, 9500 Wornall, KCMO on Saturday, Oct. 3rd at 11:30, masks will be required. A virtual service link will be provided below soon.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in her memory to the Rotary Club 13 Youth Camp, P.O. Box 412457, Kansas City, MO 64141.
