Karen Collard
1962 - 2020

Karen Susan Collard, 57, of Olathe, passed away on April 18, 2020 at her home.

She was born on December 22, 1962 to John and Anna (Scholz) Maschek in St. Louis, MO.

Karen was a hardworking homemaker and was proud of being intimately involved in the development of her children.

On May 24, 1986, she married Daniel Joseph Collard. Karen and Daniel have lived in Olathe, KS ever since.

Goofy and fun-loving, always with a smile on her face, Karen’s boundless care for every single person around her will be lovingly remembered. Always eager, she lived her faith, and grew in strength of spirit with her fantastic community at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. She loved to share with others, especially with those of Christ Renews His Parish, Bible studies, small group discussions and book clubs. Bringing faith and hope to others, she served as a Eucharistic minister to the elderly.

Karen is survived by her loving husband Dan, daughter Diane, son Tim, grandchildren Ben and Avila, and siblings Anita, Jan, and Tom.

She is preceded in death by her brother Joe.

Private services will be held.

Memorials are suggested to Prince of Peace Church.
