Charles William Conner, 77, of Olathe, passed away on February 18, 2020 at his home.

He was born on July 23, 1942 to Junior and Louise (Boyer) Conner at the family farmhouse near Paola, KS.

Charles attended Paola High School and joined the Navy at age 17. While serving in the Navy (1959 to 1963) he was assigned to the Aircraft Carrier USS Oriskany. He served on two cruise assignments to the Far East one in 1960 and a second in 1962.

His passion was building his successful Drywall Business. He was the owner and operator of Conner Drywall for over 40 years.

In his spare time he visited his lake house at The Lake of the Ozarks and enjoyed 'cruising' the lake in his boat.

Charles is survived by his sons, Jeffrey A. (Charlene) Conner, and James W. Conner (Elizabeth), grandchildren Kimberly Nixon (Dan), Elena L. Conner, Natalie R. Conner and Kevin A. Conner.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles 'Junior' (Alice 'Louise') Conner, brothers Dale E. Conner, Glen R. Conner and his sisters Dorothy L. Cunningham and Iva M. Keihn.
