Mary Ellen Ridgley, 72, of Gardner, KS passed away on January 19, 2020. She was born on October 24, 1947 the oldest of eight children to Mercedes and John Powers, Phd, in Quebec, Canada.
Mary worked as a Compliance Officer, eventually retiring from the Royal Bank of Canada.

On January 12, 1985, she married Glen Martin Ridgley, and they made their home in Gardner, Kansas.

Mary Ellen loved spending time with her family especially her grandchildren. She also enjoyed sewing and making quilts, traveling in the US and in Europe, cooking, decorating and spending time with her friends. She was very involved in helping others, such as her church, as a religion teacher, The Daughters of Isabella and Altrusa.

Mary is survived by her husband, Glen Ridgley, her daughter, Ellie Grose (Spouse, Michael), sons Derek Ramstad (Spouse, Sybil) and Jeff Ramstad, step-sons Scott Ridgley (Spouse, Angie) & Bryan Ridgley (Partner, Lindsey) her grandchildren, Brennan, John, Jake, Bennett, Davis, Sophie and Ethan. Sister Liz and brother Greg and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her mother Mercedes, her father John, her siblings Joseph, Sam, Catherine, Andrew and John.

Prayers of the Rosary at 5:30pm, Friday, January 24, followed by visitation from 6:00-7:30pm at Penwell-Gabel Olathe Chapel. Memorial Mass will be held at 10:30am on Saturday, January 25 at Divine Mercy Catholic Church, Gardner, KS.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are suggested to the University of Kansas Medical Center/Cancer Center or to the American Cancer Society.
